Snap on indexing ratchet

Armstrong 11-996 3/8-Inch Drive Indexible Ratchet Since its theft some nine years ago I have searched far and wide as snap on no longer offers an indexing head ratchet.I now own a diverse collection,seven other indexing head ratchets in total,from Pittsburgh to Mac. This ratchet is my favorite of the lot.The only feature that I miss is the 1/4 Inch Drive Ratchets <-Back Next-> Catalog drawings and actual tools. The GM70-L and the 9/32 M70-L (20 tooth) are the same ratchet with different inserts. The insert is the “square” and the internal gear. This switches over with 2 screws. In 1941 and 1942 the ¼ inch ratchet existed, but no sockets were offered. Snap on Model number 9/32 Ratchets. There are 2 basic designs. The first ratchet is a flat ratchet appearing from 1933 to 1937. There are differences in the rivets and some date stamps are found in the lower rivet. The second ratchet style can be broken into the following variations: 1937 – 1939 the M-70-N ratchet has no screws in the head on either side (20 tooth)

It is assigned to Snap-on (The design, number of teeth and timing suggest WF Klein was a Snap-on engineer) and shows a 1-paw construction.

Well, the Made in USA version of it. The story behind this ratchet is that when Snap-On initially released it as an upgrade to it's older version 30/36 teeth ratchets
