Yes, that's likely a head gasket, although it could be one of a couple of other seals that can cause oil / antifreeze mixing. Either way, the engine would have to be torn down to definitively find the defective seal, although simple compression and leak down tests can usually reveal a bad head gasket with little effort. I took my truck to shop because oil mixing with coolant in reservoir. Shop replace oil cooler and water pump. Within 24 hrs after getting truck out shop i notice truck using oil. I put 4 gallons of oil in truck within 3000 miles. It only started using oil after oil cooler and water pump been replace. Also engine came apart . The most likely source is the head gasket.
