Health 2020: the European policy for health and well-being Health 2020 is the new European health policy framework. It aims to support action across government and society to: “significantly improve the health and well-being of populations, reduce health inequalities, strengthen public health and ensure people-centred health systems that are universal, equitable, sustainable and of high quality”. In the euro area, consumer price inflation is measured by the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP). It measures the change over time in the prices of consumer goods and services acquired, used or paid for by euro area housholds. The term “harmonised” denotes the fact that all the countries in the European Union follow the same methodology.
